Seasonal Tax Preparer
JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a Seasonal Tax Preparer to join our team for the 2026 tax season. In this role, you will work closely with the Principal to provide tax-related services to both individual and business clients. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing federal and state income tax returns (individual, corporations & partnerships), conducting tax research to address client questions, and assisting with various tasks to help meet multiple filing deadlines.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with one to five years of public accounting tax experience who is eager to continue learning and growing in a supportive, team-focused environment. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and ready to step in wherever needed to keep things running smoothly.
This is a part-time, seasonal position requiring 24 to 32 hours per week. The position begins on January 19, 2026, and runs through April 15, 2026. Full-time hours may be available for the right candidate.

Essential Functions:
Prepare federal and state income tax returns for both individuals and businesses.
Prepare other forms and tax returns.
Communicate project status with clients, supervisor, and peers.
Assist Principal in delivering timely results to clients.
Research answers for clients under the direction of the Principal.
Handle client calls and follow up as needed.
Build trust with clients.
Required Skills/Abilities/Competencies:
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Proven ability at being a team player – working collaboratively with others and communicating well on project status with supervisor and others in the office.
Customer service focus.
Ability to correctly prepare tax filings.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software and accounting software.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, or related field.
Experience in public accounting, with income tax preparation, is required.
Work Environment:
This is a professional office environment, and this role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. This position may frequently require extended periods of sitting and computer use and may occasionally require lifting or moving up to 20 pounds.
